In need of a staycation? Us too.
Luckily there’s lots of incredible hotel options across Tampa Bay, and plenty more on the way. Think: resort worthy pools, cocktail bars, and primo location.
Newly open

Coming soon
The Pendry | You’ve likely seen this project going up on your downtown Tampa commute. The hotel + condo tower will open in 2026 and boast prime Tampa Riverwalk access, three food and beverage spots, a spa and fitness center, rooftop pool, and private event space.
Ora Hotel and Private Residences | Tampa’s latest luxury hotel + condo tower will live within the Water Street Tampa neighborhood. Plans for the bougie escape include a restaurant, convention space, a lobby bar and cafe, a rooftop deck with an infinity edge pool, and a helipad.
Moxy St. Pete | Opening this August, the Moxy is parked walking distance from Tropicana Field, for that easy Rays game access. The 163-room hotel will also feature amentities like a lobby bar called Bar Moxy, a coffee shop and juice bar, and a podcast studio.
CW Resort | The newly announced Clearwater Beach resort — from the same team behind Ora — will be located on the north side of the popular TBAY beach. The ARC Realty Group team says the development will host a luxe pool and other resort amenities.
The Beachmaker | This incoming Mad Beach condo and hotel will be part of Marriott Hotels’ luxury Autograph Collection and offer guests and residents alike two resort-style pools, a skybridge connecting folks to the beach, and wedding/event space. The inventive property’s units will be available to buyers for up to 90 days per year, with the units will be rented out to vacationers for the remainder of the year — and we did a deep dive on the concept earlier this year.
Renovations + expansions
Hotel Flor Tampa | Tampanians know this spot. Formerly known as the Floridan Palace Hotel, the historic downtown Tampa destination recently unveiled a $25 million renovation. Built in 1927, the hotel exterior is undergoing a historic restoration + preservation expected to last through August.
The Cordova Inn | Construction is well on its way on the downtown St. Pete hotel’s expansion. The new tower will look seamless next to the current historic building — and host a restaurant and rooftop bar. We’re ready to take our espresso martinis to the roof.
TradeWinds Island Resorts | The massive $500 million expansion of the St. Pete Beach resort was just approved this spring. The 20-year project will add 600+ new hotel rooms, restaurant and retail space, and a rooftop viewing deck to the Gulf Boulevard hotspot.
Sirata Beach Resort | Another longtime St. Pete Beach hotel is getting a remodel. The newly approved plan includes renovating the existing beachfront hotel, and adding 290-key luxury hotel and a select-service hotel to the property.
