Tampa Bay is the hottest spot in Florida… for hauntings. To get you in the mood for Halloween, we’ve found three of the most haunted places in the Tampa Bay area.

👻 Florida Brewery Company

1234 E. 5th Ave.

The tallest building in Ybor may also be the most haunted. Vicente Martinez Ybor himself established the brewing company + was arrested for using it to produce alcohol during the prohibition. It’s no surprise that alcohol factors into the paranormal activity. During its grand opening, the brewery gave out free beer — which led to a drunken fight amongst the new customers. Unfortunately, one of the patrons involved in the fight died inside the brewery. Visitors claim his spirit still stumbles through the hall, hunting for his half-empty beer.

👻 Tampa Theatre

711 N. Franklin St.

Established in 1926 by Paramount Pictures, The Tampa Theatre has a storied history and attracts a cast of characters when it comes to ghosts. Like the mysterious man in a fedora who occupies seat 308. Or the projectionist Foster “Fink” Finley who died inside the theatre in 1965 and whose cigarette smoke can still be smelled to this day.

👻 The Cuban Club

2010 N. Avenida Republica de Cuba

The first clubhouse was destroyed by a fire in 1916 and so the current yellow-brick building was constructed in 1917 and featured a ballroom, cantina, and two-story theater.

Performers take center stage when it comes to the club’s paranormal activity. An actor who forgot his lines is said to haunt this stage, still trying to finish the performance he couldn’t. Visitors also report hearing a piano playing… without its pianist.
