Paging Mayor Swift.

Tampa Mayor Jane Castor made headlines Monday when she offered the superstar the key to the city ahead of her TBAY “Eras Tour” shows — and the opportunity to be mayor for the day.

“We know Glendale changed its name, Arlington made a street sign, and Vegas illuminated their Gateway Arches,” Castor said in a video posted to the city’s Instagram. “But here in Tampa, we’ve got a reputation to uphold... and we want to go bigger.”

Thus, the city is asking its Swifites to get the message out on social media by sharing the video and tagging Taylor.

No matter Ms. Swift’s decision, the Tampa Riverwalk, Old City Hall, and downtown bridges “will shine Taylor Swift Red” from sundown to sunrise” on Thursday, April 13, the date of the first show, according to the release.
