The Florida Museum of Photographic Art’s annual International Photography Contest will hold its opening reception Wednesday, June 26, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at Tampa International Airport.

Photographers from 59 countries submitted over 2,500 photos to the contest, making it the museum’s largest to date. Categories include portraiture, nature photography, and photojournalism.

Winners have been determined by a panel of world-famous photographers, and will be revealed at the reception — but even if you miss it, you have until Sunday, August 25 to see the winners, which will remain on display in the airport.

Meanwhile, check out last year’s winners, including the Best in Competition: Angelika Kollin’s “Everyday Saint Lucy.”
