Perhaps you’ve seen Allie Case’s (@sugarcreamclay) brightly colored, shiny wares at Indie Flea or inside the Morean Center for Clay — wavy-handled purpley mugs, vases modeled after pills, and certainly the pearlescent smiley face emblazoned cups and dishes. Now, the St. Pete potter is opening up her own storefront on St. Pete’s Central Avenue.

The shop will host clay classes, studio space, a local artist gallery, and serve as “a chill spot to hang with cool people, a perfect date night or girl’s night out, a nifty place to rent wheel time and fire your own work, [and] a colorful spot for the gram,” she enthused on Instagram .

The 2939 Central Ave. storefront opens March 31. Contact the shop on Instagram to get more info on classes — which start in April.

A reminder: last month, we brought you six places to hone your wheel throwing or handbuilding skills. Check out the story .
