If your 2026 resolutions include getting active and making more friends you’re in luck — St. Pete Athletic finally celebrates its grand opening this weekend. The Warehouse Arts District pickleball + social club is kicking off the new year with three full days of pickling, a youth clinic, workout classes, live music, and ample partying.

While it is a members-only club, there’s plenty of public events this weekend:

Today, Jan. 9

  • Opening Day Pickleball Tournament | 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
  • Happy Hour + Tournament After Party | 4 p.m. -Late

Saturday, Jan. 10

  • Youth Clinic | 9 a.m.-10 a.m.
  • Ribbon Cutting with Mayor Welch | 12:30 p.m.

Sunday, Jan. 11

  • Morning Yoga | 9-10 a.m.
  • Mat Pilates | 10:30-11:30 a.m.
  • Cardio Pickleball | 2-3 p.m.
The club also boasts its own signature restaurant, Rose’s Dining & Drinks. Editor Bailey is most excited to lay eyes on the colorful, Wes Anderson-esque paddle wall and try what looks like a Honey Deuce — which is about as close as we’ll get to the U.S. Open’s signature drink around here.

Asked

We’ll stir the pot, do you find pickleball too loud?

A. WHAT? I can’t hear you over all that racket
B. Nope, not at all
No wrong takes pls
