It’s the first time in years the county has reported a loss in domestic migration. But it follows a broader trend of folks moving out of flood-prone neighborhoods. (Tampa Bay Business Journal)

A peek at what’s on view in the exhibition.

One of the best parts of living in TBAY — in my opinion — is never being more than a 15-minute drive from some kind of niche or renowned museum.
Yesterday, I got a peek at the Dalí’s latest exhibition: Alberto Giacometti & Salvador Dalí: Through & Beyond Surrealism, which opens tomorrow, Nov. 15. For the those not in the know (i.e. me), Giacometti was one of the foremost sculptors of the 20th century.
The exhibit features 70+ pieces — like Giacometti’s cataclysmic “Suspended Ball” — and explores the parallels between the surrealists’ lives, inspiration, and influential work.
I highly recommend getting a tour of the gallery with a docent — so you can hear all the deets about the demise of their failed garden project — and ending your visit in The Endless Garden to participate in a unique interactive experience. I won’t give away the surprise.
