The Seminole Heights Great Pumpkin Patch, Seminole Heights United Methodist Church
“Tampa’s largest pumpkin patch” hosts Friday movie nights, pumpkin painting, and costume events. Proceeds from the funky neighborhood patch go back into the community, and it closes on Wednesday, Oct. 30.
Hyde Park Village Pumpkin Patch, Village Circle
The patch benefits the Humane Society of Tampa Bay + hosts weekly story time with Mother Boo, pet adoption events, and demure family photo ops. Take your pick through Monday, Oct. 28.
Make sure to bring the pup along to Gallagher’s for a photo op.
Gallagher’s Pumpkins & Trees, St. Petersburg
Head to Gallagher’s to find the perfect pumpkin, mum, and a bunch of straw to festoon your porch with autumnal flair + grab seasonal photos. Heads up: The patch may look different this year after sustaining damage in Hurricane Helene.
Raprager Family Farms, Odessa
Located just 25 minutes north of Tampa, Raprager’s serves up old school fall vibes with petting zoos, axe throwing, hay rides, a massive haunted barn, hay chute slide, corn pit, inflatable maze, pumpkin painting, huge market, and more. Buy tickets to the Fall Pumpkin Festival & Haunted Farm online.
DK Farms & Gardens, Largo
Head to the family-friendly spot to find a pumpkin, feast on fall flavors, pet zoo animals, take a tractor ride, mine for gems, play mini golf, and snap a family photo. Or leave the kids at home on select nights, when Fearville offers scares for the most ghoulish time of year.

Stormrunners Tavern, a bar + restaurant, is opening in the old Caddy’s location in Gulfport. The St. Petersburg Shuffleboard Club is coming up on its 100th birthday. The landmark is kicking off the party by hosting The International Shuffleboard Association’s 40th World Championship from Sunday, Oct. 22 to Friday, Oct. 27. The US Department of Transportation Build America Bureau just gave Tampa a $1.75 million grant to set up and operate a Regional Infrastructure Accelerator office, according to a release. The office will focus on major area transportation projects, transit-oriented development, and infrastructure projects in hopes of better connecting the community.
Art
The Tampa Museum of Art recently put 75 restored Haitian art pieces up for viewing. The collection of work includes everything from paintings to tapestries. The restoration work was paid for with a grant from Bank of America. The exhibit, “Reframing Haitian Art,” runs through June 23, 2024. (WUSF News)
