Bring your best snaps to “Ybor City Show and Share”

The Florida Museum of Photographic Arts is asking for your help.

A photo of Ybor City with a car rushing past, its red tail lights blurred implying its fast movement. Businesses line Ybor's 7th Ave, and the area's iconic streetlights and palm trees are visible too. It appears to be dusk with the streetlights on.

Tampa Bay is full of picturesque photography spots. Just ask the winners of our photography contest.

If you fancy yourself a budding Dorothea Lange, you’ve got a chance to showcase your skills on Saturday, Aug. 17. That’s when the Florida Museum of Photographic Arts (FMoPA) is hosting its “Ybor City Show and Share” event.

From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., attendees are invited to present their photo of the historic part of Tampa. Whether it’s a family photo, a moment of historical significance, or just something meaningful to you, you’ll have a few minutes to share your story.

Registration is limited, operates on a first come first serve basis, and costs the price of museum admission — $12 plus fees.

If you’d rather send your best Ybor City photos to us, drop us a line and we may share them in future newsletters or on social media.
