City Editor Patrick says Ichicoro was “legit the best ramen I have ever had.”

Both Tampa and the Burg have experienced exploding growth over the past 20 years, but with that growth (and time) comes a lot of change. We’re reminiscing about the diners, bars, live music venues, stores, and other businesses that have shut their doors — though we haven’t shut them out of our hearts.

We’ll go first. City Editor Bailey misses A Friend Who Bakes, an old Gulfport bakery that whipped up the best cinnamon rolls. Meanwhile, City Editor Patrick is still dreaming of grabbing a bowl of Tonkotsu at the now-shuttered Seminole Heights fave Ichicoro Ramen.

Let us know which spots you would bring back and we’ll share them in the newsletter.
