Here’s a look at the musicals, comedies, orchestra performances, and other key events coming to the Straz Center over the next several months:

“Dracula: A Comedy of Terrors” | Tuesday, Sept. 16-Saturday, Sept. 20 | Times vary | Jaeb Theater | $91+ | It’s nothing like the original. This “quick-changing, laugh-out-loud reimagining of the gothic classic, perfect for audiences of all blood types.”

“The Wiz” | Tuesday, Oct. 14-Sunday, Oct. 19 | Times vary | Carol Morsani Hall | $63+ | The legendary twist on “The Wizard of Oz” is packed with soul, gospel, rock, and ‘70s funk and follows our beloved Dorothy oh her journey to find her place in a contemporary world.

“Ghost Brothers of Darkland County” | Friday, Oct. 17-Sunday, Nov. 9 | Times vary | Shimberg Playhouse | $30+ | Lean into the Halloween season with Stephen King’s parable featuring a blues-inflected country score by John Mellencamp.

“The Comedy of Errors” | Saturday, Jan. 17-Sunday, Feb. 8 | 7:30-9:30 p.m. | Jaeb Theater | $30+ | It’s a “fairy tale of a farce believed to be one of the Shakespeare’s earliest, packed with everyday miracles, mistaken identity, and trouble set against the backdrop of 1960s beat-era San Francisco.”

“The Shark Is Broken” | Saturday, March 14-Sunday, April 5 | Times vary | Shimberg Playhouse | $30+ | Ever wondered about the making of “Jaws”? Watch as the actors portraying the stars of the feature flick deal with a cramped boat, foul weather, and bad attitudes to make movie magic.

“Danny... Deep Blue Sea” | Wednesday, May 6- Sunday, May 31 | 2-4 p.m. | Shimberg Playhouse | $36+ | “The play is the equivalent of sitting at ringside watching a prize fight that concludes in a loving embrace.” That’s what the New York Times said about this play centered on two lovers in the Bronx.

Strauss’ “An Alpine Symphony” with The Florida Orchestra | Friday, Oct. 3 | 8 p.m. | Carol Morsani Hall | $30 | Michael Francis brings together more than 100 musicians to perform Richard Strauss’ tone poem “An Alpine Symphony” for the first time in 25 years.

“The Roaring 20s with The Florida Orchestra” | Wednesday, Oct. 8 | 11 a.m. | Ferguson Hall | $30 | The renowned orchestra makes its way through hits of the 1720s, 1820s, 1920s and 2020s, from Handel’s “Arrival of the Queen of Sheba” to “The Last Jedi.”

Straz Jazz Project Concert: “Jazz, Its Heart and Soul with Belinda Womack” | Saturday, Oct. 11 | 7 p.m. | TECO Theater | Free | It’s the first Straz Jazz evening concert of the season, featuring the musical stylings of Belinda Womack. Best of all, it’s free.
