Happy International Plastic Free Day, TBAY.

A couple weeks ago, we told you about Remora, a new app developed by Eckerd College professors that allows you to track your usage of single-use plastics (think Starbucks cups, straws, and grocery bags). The app prompts you with questions that help calculate your current footprint and compare it to the national average.

Remora also lets you add friends, so you can track your progress together — or make it a challenge.

As you know, we like a little competition around here. So, we had to join in. Your friendly city editors will compete to see who can use less plastic during the month of June. And at the end of the month, we’ll share how we did — good or bad.
