Calling all late night Zillow scrollers. It’s okay, we do it too.

Zillow just reported that Tampa is once again projected as one of the white hot real estate markets for 2024. The Cigar City came in at No. 10. behind Midwest spots like Columbus (hey CBUStoday) and Indianapolis (and you too, INDYtoday). Researchers looked at 50 of the “most populous metros” for factors like affordability, strong employment, and growth in owner-occupied households.

Here’s some other key findings from the report:

  • The study found that the typical home value for the Tampa Bay area is $375,338.
  • The average mortgage payment with 5% down is $2,717.
  • Meanwhile, the average rent cost is $2,091.
  • The average amount of time a home spends on the market is 24 days.
