A message from our team

It’s 6AM somewhere — in fact, if you’re reading this at 9 a.m. local time, it’s 6 a.m. in our sister market SEAtoday. Which brings us to our main point: Did you know there are newsletters just like TBAYtoday across the country, providing the same need-to-know local news and events for their communities?

From sharing live music venues in Portland, OR to reporting on new developments in Greenville, SC, our company works hard to be local, everywhere. Support our mission.

Sure, travel guides are great, but there’s nothing quite like a rec from a local. Which is why we strive to keep you up to date with the newest coffee joints, lunch gems, and highly-anticipated eateries in every newsletter.

But you, our lovely readers, inspire us too. We wanted to share some of our readers favorite restaurants across the Tampa Bay area:
  • Andrew A. recommends Pipo’s Restaurant, saying he “grew up going there as a kid and (is) excited to bring my own kiddo there someday.”
  • Geraldine B. adores Uleleas does the entire LeFever family. The pompano and bourbon butter cake are divine.
  • Nora S.’ favorite restaurant is the Shrimp Boat Bar & Grill. She said, “they have an amazing happy hour with great drinks and reasonably priced appetizers. Their coconut shrimp is the best!”
  • Cora B. is a Roosterfish Grill fan. The menu is stacked with hits like Crabby Patty’s and PEI mussels.
  • Libby C. wrote “Motorworks Brewing on Harbour Island is our favorite so far! We just moved here last week!” We’ll need an update on your faves, Libby.
  • Jean G. is loyal to Caffe Paradiso. Editor Bailey needs to try the melanzane rollatini expeditiously.
Please consider supporting us with a donation to fund our coverage of TBAY’s ever-evolving dining scene — we won’t disappoint.
