A French bulldog float will make its way through New York City during this year’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. That got us thinking: What are the most Tampa Bay-inspired animal floats that could feature in the festivities?
Editor Bailey here: I’d love to see inflatable versions of my dog (pictured above) flying through Manhattan.
It wouldn’t be TBAY without a gator — like a huge version of this.
And of course, an Ybor City chicken is a must.
Did we miss any? Let us know (or send us festive photos of your pets, please).

Taco Bell is selling a Baja Blast-flavored pie this Thanksgiving. The drink’s signature tropical lime flavor has been turned into a filling on a graham cracker crust, topped with whipped cream. To each their own, but we prefer picking up seasonal desserts from Tampa Bay’s small businesses like Toffee to Go. (People)

You heard it here first: Tampa Bay is undergoing a bagel renaissance. Both the Bagel Nook and PopUp Bagels opened Cigar City locations last week, and Pete’s just announced a new Tarpon Springs spot.
I checked out the Carrollwood PopUp Bagels on Friday. The verdict: The poppy seed and everything bagels were piping hot and fluffy but not too soft, and I was really impressed by the range of spreads. I did not sample the Grillo’s Pickle de Gallo cream cheese, so please let me know if you do.
