One of the ways you can leave an indelible impact on Tampa Bay is to join an advisory committee — to, you know, give your input and advice.
There’s one for pretty much everything that touches your life as a resident: for most neighborhoods, on resilience and affordable housing, and more. Here’s a few to get you started:
Government leaders say we can expect more flight delays. Tampa International reported that 45 of 554 total flights were canceled as of 9 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 10. Check flights here. (St. Pete Catalyst)
Development
What’s going on with The Claw redevelopment? The Florida Board of Governors approved the first phase of transformation for the old golf course. Real Estate
717 Parking is planning a mixed-use development in the Channel District. The group wants to turn a parking lot near Port Tampa Bay into housing, retail, and a hotel. Co-owner Jason Accardi said the project is still in the early stages, but that they want to do something “unique.” (Tampa Bay Times)
Eat
Yes, we’re getting our second PopUp Bagels in less than a year. The “not famous but known” bagel joint is opening a location in Carrollwood. Stop by the grand opening this Friday, Nov. 14 from 8-11 a.m. for treats from Natalie’s Orchid Island Juice and a special smashed raspberry habanero schmear.

Development
Red Apple Real Estate asked the City of St. Pete for more time to submit a proposal for the historic Gas Plant District site, saying 30 days is not long enough to make a competitive redevelopment pitch. A reminder: They’re the team behind the Residences at 400 Central tower. (St. Pete Rising)
Community
Meet One Community Grocery Co-op. The co-op’s leaders are focused on providing fresh, affordable food to residents in South St. Pete. Right now, the co-op is hosting produce pop-ups + makers’ and growers’ markets, but the plan is to set up a brick-and-mortar grocery store. (St. Pete Catalyst)

I’m not trying to blow up my spot, but Green Light Cinema is opening up its own bar right next door. Where at? In the old Main Grove spot. I’ll keep you posted on an opening date.
