Between “Spring Breakers,” “Goodfellas,” and now “What We Hide” Tampa Bay is kinda becoming the Hollywood of the South East.
The new drama/mystery/thriller follows two sisters struggling to hide their mother’s body after her overdose, in hopes of not being separated in foster care. Both The Tampa Theatre and Green Light Cinema are screening the locally-filmed indie movie.
I’m deeply excited to sink into my preferred seat at Green Light next week with some Milk Duds and watch Tampa Bay flash across the screen.

A St. Pete couple are planning to transform several buildings along Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street South into a wellness hub. They’ve named the effort the Looking Glass Iniative, and hope to pull in a coffee shop, retail, and healthy eating options. (Tampa Bay Business Journal)
