To me, matchbooks are the perfect item to collect. First off, they’re small — unlike my hoard of hoodies — and easy to haul home. You can find cool vintage ones at estate sales and markets and businesses while traveling or at home. And best of all, they tell a story.
Some are marked with the names of beachfront motels and downtown hotels that have been closed for decades. Others bear the name of some of our favorite new Hyde Park haunts.

Last week, we asked “Which movie was not filmed in Tampa Bay?”
We prefer the real deal Ybor City.

Only 16% of readers correctly guessed the 2016 film “Live By Night.”
For some reason, Ben Affleck chose to film the Prohibition Era film in Georgia, even though it’s set in Ybor City. Huh.
The drama, which also stars Affleck, follows a group of Bostonian gangsters who “set up shop in balmy Florida” and face off against the Ku Klux Klan, according to IMDB.
