Editor’s Pick

A stretch of the Courtney Campbell Trail stretches into the distance. Skies are cloudless, with water from Tampa Bay on the left of the screen. Grass, sand, rocks, and trees surround the path.
Today, we’re highlighting the Courtney Campbell Trail, a 9.5-mile stretch perfect for anyone looking to get some steps in. Gently lapping waves + panoramic views over Tampa Bay are ideal for walkers, joggers, cyclists, skaters, and doggos alike.

We recommend ordering some gator nuggets and a rum runner at Whiskey Joe’s afterward — a fun spot with island vibes, its own private beach, and a happy hour from 3 to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Eat

The Tampa Bay area is close to getting its first-ever Whataburger. The closest one is currently hours away, but permits have been filed in Wesley Chapel to bring the Texas-based burger chain a lot closer to home. If everything runs smooth, it will be built right by Tampa Premium Outlets. (Wesley Chapel Local)

Community

Clearwater apartment complex Indigo is returning to its roots and will become affordable housing again. The 208-unit, 17-story building has been mostly leasing around market rate since 2020, but will now bring its prices down after being acquired by Sunrise Affordable Housing Group for $25.5 million.
