Rays Stadium deadline approaches

The team has less than a month (until Monday, March 31) to meet requirements for keeping up their end of the $1.3 billion stadium deal, or announce they’re pulling out of the agreement.

Hillsborough County tool

The City of Tampa is dealing with a wealth of aging pipes, leading to issues with water pressure, breaks, and lead. Now, Hillsborough County Water Resources is sharing a new tool that residents can use to check what testing has been done on their service lines.

Beach renourishment

Pinellas County leaders want to start beach renourishment efforts at Sand Key as soon as possible — before hurricane season starts on June 1. The county needs 400 property owners lining the water to sign construction easements to start the project, WUSF reports.

The hall will house 13 spots including: Speaks Clam Bar, Kojo, The Meadows, Constellation Burger, Park Pie Pizza, Palm Avenue Deli, and Night Owl, a member-only rooftop terrace. I really enjoyed this 65th anniversary look at Tampa’s Woolworth sit-in counter protests in the 1960s. And if you want to see the whole story play out onstage, catch a performance of “When the Righteous Triumph.” The play follows the desegration of Tampa’s lunch counters, and runs at Straz Center on March 6-9 and 15-16.
