This year’s Spotify Wrapped is locked in place — the listening app stops recording your yearly usage on Oct. 31. But let’s make sure your top podcast breakdown next year is full of local faves.
We’re sharing six Tampa Bay podcasts to add to your rotation:
WUSF’s weekly news show hosted by Matthew Peddie dives into some of the biggest stories across our area and the state with notable local guests. Think: The back-to-back hurricanes, elections, red tide crisis, and more.
Talk about a winning trio. Our Friends at Locked On roll out multiple podcasts focused on your favorite Champa Bay sports teams. The hosts break down game previews, trades, and the overall nitty gritty on how the Rays, Bucs, and Lightning are performing.
This one’s for those who like to stay in-the-know on all things real estate, development, industry, and openings — basically our readers to a tee. But the hosts don’t stop there, covering Tampa Bay history, government, and more.

Sports
It appears the new Rays stadium might be a no go. Pinellas County Commissioners have already delayed one vote approving funding for the $1.3 billion project, and may delay tomorrow’s vote as well. This follows last week’s commitment from Mayor Ken Welch to find the Trop’s necessary repairs post-Hurricane Milton. (Tampa Bay Times)
Eat
Your favorite lunch spot is making a move. Asian fusion eatery Pin On Cafe starts serving at its new 2458 Central Ave. home on November 21. Those Lo Main Garlic Sauce noodles and rolls aren’t going anywhere. (I Love the Burg)
Civic
We already told you that Hillsborough County voters just reapproved the Community Investment Tax. But what does that mean? The half-cent tax would have ended in 2026, and goes toward all kind of projects that keep the country running like bridge repairs, stormwater projects, and new fire stations. (Tampa Bay Business Journal)
Outdoors
Workers just finished partially resorting Treasure Island’s Sunset Beach — which sustained massive damage during the hurricanes — back to health. Contractors cleaned + returned 40,000 cubic yards of the beach’s sand. There’s still more work to do, and leaders have requested emergency aid from the White House. (I Love the Burg)
Development
The Residences at 400 Central is close to completion. Once finished, the 26-story tower will take the crown as the tallest building on Florida’s Gulf Coast. The luxe condo building opens this summer, and boasts 301 units, plus office and retail space. (I Love the Burg)
Real Estate
Now’s your chance to own one of TBAY’s “Bird Cage” homes. One of legendary local architect Glenn Q. Johnson’s 15 Vision-Aire homes is on the market. The Bay Vista, Midcentury dreamhouse with vaulted cedar ceilings and incredible tiling comes in at $900,000, and is surrounded by a tropical canopy. (Creative Loafing Tampa Bay)
Sports
Andrei Vasilevskiy just notched his 300th NHL win. Get game coverage, analysis, insights, interviews, and more from local experts of the Tampa Bay Lightning with Locked On’s daily podcasts.
