The Seminole Heights Great Pumpkin Patch, Seminole Heights United Methodist Church
“Tampa’s largest pumpkin patch” hosts Friday movie nights, pumpkin painting, and costume events. Proceeds from the funky neighborhood patch go back into the community, and it closes on Wednesday, Oct. 30.
Hyde Park Village Pumpkin Patch, Village Circle
The patch benefits the Humane Society of Tampa Bay + hosts weekly story time with Mother Boo, pet adoption events, and demure family photo ops. Take your pick through Monday, Oct. 28.
Make sure to bring the pup along to Gallagher’s for a photo op.
Gallagher’s Pumpkins & Trees, St. Petersburg
Head to Gallagher’s to find the perfect pumpkin, mum, and a bunch of straw to festoon your porch with autumnal flair + grab seasonal photos. Heads up: The patch may look different this year after sustaining damage in Hurricane Helene.
Raprager Family Farms, Odessa
Located just 25 minutes north of Tampa, Raprager’s serves up old school fall vibes with petting zoos, axe throwing, hay rides, a massive haunted barn, hay chute slide, corn pit, inflatable maze, pumpkin painting, huge market, and more. Buy tickets to the Fall Pumpkin Festival & Haunted Farm online.
DK Farms & Gardens, Largo
Head to the family-friendly spot to find a pumpkin, feast on fall flavors, pet zoo animals, take a tractor ride, mine for gems, play mini golf, and snap a family photo. Or leave the kids at home on select nights, when Fearville offers scares for the most ghoulish time of year.

St. Pete is aiding Hurricane Helene efforts through its new We Are St. Pete Fund. The fund, in collaboration with Pinellas Community Foundation, is the first of its kind in the Burg, allowing donors to choose where they’d like their contributions to go. The city donated $200,000 to get the ball rolling.
Cause
Want to help Helene victims? Feeding Tampa Bay is looking for volunteers to help with their community distribution events, with additional opportunities posted each day.

As the Atlantic hurricane season continues, meteorologists are tracking activity in the tropics. A tropical disturbance in the Gulf could bring heavy rainfall starting Sunday into early next week. Heads up: there are two major systems out in the mid-Atlantic Ocean, but they are expected to stay out at sea.
Sports
It wasn’t the best night for the Bucs. Baker Mayfield and company lost 36-30 to the Atlanta Falcons in overtime last night. Two Mike Evans touchdowns weren’t enough to save the Bucs, who are now 3-2 on the season. (ESPN)

The Cross Bay Ferry is setting sail for its first trip of the season today. For the first time ever, the service will run year-round, meaning it won’t take its customary summer hiatus. Pssst, this is perfect for St. Pete-residing Bolts fans. Get your tickets.

Calling all lacrosse fans. The NCAA announced the 2027 Division II and III women’s finals will take place in Tampa at the UT Naimoli Family Athletic and Intramural Complex. There will also be NCAA finals in Sarasota, Lakeland, and Orlando through 2028.

As if Bolts gamedays weren’t good enough already, the experience at Amalie Arena is about to go up another gear.
Here’s what will look different during the 2024-2025 Lightning season:
On the fourth floor, sit-down restaurant Firestick Grill has been replaced with The Market on Four. The food hall-style eatery boasts a range of local restaurants, including Bavaro’s, King of the Coop, Bake’n Babes, and Zukku Sushi.
Outside the arena, fans can head to Corona Bolts Bay in Thunder Alley for food + beverage options.
Or grab a drink on the new RIPA Rooftop which overlooks the Cigar City skyline with upgraded screens and seating options.
Around the arena, there’s new cutting-edge digital signage. Among the features are a digital video wall, 3D LED lights, LED ribbons, and interactive kiosks.
