• $1.9 billion. That’s how much BayCare Health System just received in bond approval for expansion projects. The money will go toward past improvement projects + future renovations and additions to more TBAY hospitals — with a huge chunk earmarked for a new Manatee County hospital. • St. Pete City Council votes this Thursday, Aug. 8 on a proposal to build housing on the Pasadena Community Church’s land. A developer hopes to build 40 townhomes + 20 single-family detached homes on two of the church’s parcels. (Tampa Bay Business Journal)
