Tampa Bay has so much room for activities. Don’t just take our word for it — WalletHub just ranked Tampa No. 3 for recreation across the United States’ 100 largest cities, and St. Pete No. 17. Now we’re going to prove them right.

Since being officially incorporated on July 15, 1887, the City of Tampa has grown to become a sprawling metropolis. But how many call it home?

For our quiz, the correct answer was ~400,000. The last official census (2020) reported Tampa’s population around 388,000 people. Several online resources now claim the number to be closer to 410,000. Only 17% of you got this one right.

The most popular guess was ~450,000 which got 42% of the votes.
