Who’s ready for Spring Break? Our City Editors took Friday off to spend more time out and about in the Tampa Bay area — Bailey grabbed a seasonal Lucky Charms Latte from Sage’s Playground and Patrick took his dogs to Pups Pub so they could roam while hiding from the rain.

  • $4 million. That’s the amount of money MacKenzie Scott just split evenly between two Tampa Bay area nonprofits. The philanthropist donated $2 million to both the Corporation to Develop Communities of Tampa, Inc. and REACHUP, Inc. The money is part of Scott’s recent $640 million nationwide donation efforts.   • A new exhibit opens tomorrow, March 26 at the Florida Museum of Photographic Arts. “Gary Monroe: Life in South Beach, 1977-1986” shares the candid lifestyle of Miami’s inhabitants over the course of a decade. It runs at 1630 E. 7th Ave. in Ybor City through Sunday, May 19. Get tickets.

  • Celebrate the total solar eclipse in true TBAY style. The Pier 60 Sugar Sand Festival + Visit St. Pete/Clearwater are hosting an eclipse party at Clearwater Beach on Monday, April 8. The event starts at 1:45 p.m., with our area’s peak obscuration of 66% expected around 3 p.m.
