If your New Year’s resolution is to live a little more sustainably, we’ve got you covered. From recycled to-go cups and takeout bags to live-edge wood dining tables, these Tampa + St. Pete spots are selling products to help you sustain a greener life:
This zero-waste shop sells all the products you need to shrink your carbon footprint: bamboo tooth brushes, solid dish soaps, shampoo bars, biodegradable cotton swabs, makeup, and this store even boasts a “Bring Your Own Container” bulk bar.
Head to the Heights for eco-friendly bath products (like inventive bath bombs), tons of soy wax candles, hand sanitizer, pet and cleaning products, and of course, Lüfka washcloths made with Willow bark fibers.
The local Cigar City farm sells its own handmade soap, shampoo bars, and shaving bars in addition to farm-fresh dairy products. Pick up the homemade goodness at the farm on Wednesdays and Sundays, make a pre-order for St. Pete pickup, or book The Dancing Goat Dairy Farm Tour on AirBnB for a peek behind the scenes.
Head to the Dancing Goat for fresh milk, eggs, and even eco-friendly products.
Headquartered in Clearwater, this local company upcycles agricultural waste into takeout bags and makes eco-friendly hot and cold to-go cups. Bonus: it also offers free delivery across the Tampa Bay area.
Tucked inside the Burg’s Anderson Lumber, this St. Pete maker salvages local trees and crafts them into one-of-a-kind sculptural pieces like live-edge slab dining tables and lighting. Take a peek.
Featured on “Shark Tank” and supported by the show’s Barbara Corcoran, this Pinellas brand uses cocoa butter, aloe vera, and other natural ingredients to craft eye serums, facial cleansers, sunscreens, and other beauty and haircare products.

What local Tampa Bay spot do you miss the most?
City Editor Patrick says Ichicoro was “legit the best ramen I have ever had.” | Photo via @tamparecs
Both Tampa and the Burg have experienced exploding growth over the past 20 years, but with that growth (and time) comes a lot of change. We’re reminiscing about the diners, bars, live music venues, stores, and other businesses that have shut their doors — though we haven’t shut them out of our hearts.
We’ll go first. City Editor Bailey misses A Friend Who Bakes, an old Gulfport bakery that whipped up the best cinnamon rolls. Meanwhile, City Editor Patrick is still dreaming of grabbing a bowl of Tonkotsu at the now-shuttered Seminole Heights fave Ichicoro Ramen.
Let us know which spots you would bring back and we’ll share them in the newsletter.
A gift from Six & Main’s Valentine’s Day collection for someone you love. There’s colorful chocolates, funny cards, games for couples, and lots and lots of pink.
Anyone else making the absolute most of this sunshine? I headed to Patrona Coffee for a beachy coworking moment and I highly recommend checking it out. Come along with me.
