Small Business Saturday is coming up on Nov. 25. What started as an American Express campaign in 2010 to inspire consumers to shop locally has become an annual holiday that’s celebrated nationally.
We asked you to tell us which local small businesses you love shopping with + any deals you’re excited for, and (as usual) you didn’t disappoint. Plus, we included some of the local deals and shops we love.
City Editor Bailey | Tombolo Books | The Downtown St. Pete bookstore offers frequent book club events, and talks with renowned writers. We recommend the staff favorites shelf.
You all love shopping small.Check out where else you said you’ll be shopping on Nov. 25.

Community
Tampa Fire Rescue is trying to keep us safe and informed this Thanksgiving. Firefighters demonstrated the dangers of deep-frying a turkey earlier this week, showing how a fire can erupt if you drop the bird in oil too fast. If a fire breaks out, officials advise using a fire extinguisher, not water. (FOX 13 News)
