Alfonso’s Pizzeria, 14942 N. Florida Ave., Tampa | A Tampa staple since 1978, this pizzeria offers tradition in its flavor. The owner moved to New York back in the 1970s from Sicily. Good luck getting your hands on the family secrets.
Toby’s Original Little Italy Pizza, 3523 49th St. N., St. Petersburg | For more than 50 years, St. Pete residents have enjoyed pizzas and subs from Toby’s. This laid-back spot has a simple menu with classics like meatball subs and thin-crust pies.
Eddie & Sam’s New York Pizza, 203 E. Twiggs St., Tampa | This joint has been giving Downtown Tampa a taste of the Big Apple since 1998 — literally. They use New York water in their dough.

The Nona Slice House, 997 Main St., Safety Harbor | Pro tip: Keep it simple here with a margherita pizza. Owner Jamie Culliton won Best Pizza in the Country for Nona’s margherita at the American Pizza Championship.
Fabrica, various locations | Recently named one of the World Top 100 pizzerias, this restaurant is renowned for its Neopolitan flavors and customizable pizzas.
Verducci’s, 7800 Blind Pass Rd., St. Pete Beach | Backed up by decades of happy pizza-loving beach-goers, Verducci’s was previously named Best Restaurant on the Beach in the US by TripAdvisor.

ICYMI, Arts in Motion, presented by Water Street Tampa, features two exhibits by Netherlands-based Studio Roosegaarde: DUNE and WATERLICHT.
DUNE’s immersive light exhibit is open in the Water Street Tampa neighborhood now-Oct. 29, while WATERLICHT is coming Oct. 27-29 and will offer unique dining experiences interwoven with the water-reminiscent art display (reservations may be required).
The Tampa Bay Lightning started the 2023-24 season with a win last night with a 5-3 victory against the Nashville Predators. Nikita Kucherov and Nicholas Paul scored two goals each, and Brayden Point picked up three assists.
Development
A Downtown Tampa lot sold last week for $12.5 million. The 0.68 acres are located at 127 N. Tampa St. near MacDill Park on the Riverwalk. The land was purchased by Richland Capital Holdings, an affiliate of Tampa-based Richland Investments. (Tampa Bay Business Journal)
Transit
You might start spotting golden Tesla SUVs around Tampa soon. Today is the ribbon cutting for the Tampa Downtown Partnership’s DASH program which will offer $2 rides around town. Rides can be scheduled on the app starting tomorrow, Thursday, Oct. 12.
Seasonal
A fall-themed market takes over Water Street Tampa this weekend. The autumnal event is on Sunday, Oct. 15 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will feature a pumpkin patch, dozens of local vendors, and seasonal food + drink.

Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice. He’s been summoned to Lost & Found at 2420 Central Ave. in St. Pete tonight where the classic Michael Keaton flick is playing starting at 7 p.m.
Coming Soon
The Harlem Globetrotters will be in Tampa next year. The world famous basketballers show off their skills at Yuengling Center on Thursday, April 28. Tickets go on sale this Sunday, Oct. 15. (That’s So Tampa)
