The concert scene is truly unmatched in our area — from Amalie Arena to the Sound, there’s a stage for any type of tune. To get to know them all, you must do three things.

When the Bucs aren’t playing under the bright lights at Ray Jay, the West Tampa stadium attracts superstars like Taylor Swift, Queen Bey, and Zach Bryan. The recently renovated stadium also boasts its own pirate ship and top of the line HD video boards.

The former “Ice Palace” hosts rockin’ shows, basketball games, conventions, and of course, the three-time Stanley Cup champs, the Tampa Bay Lightning. The area is also close to Water Street Tampa — so you can start your experience with drinks or a meal at one of the buzzy neighborhood’s new spots.

The Hard Rock’s music venue is on the second level of the casino complex and hosts acts like Seth Meyers and Jerry Seinfeld, concerts, trade shows, private events, and large-scale poker tournaments.

Built in 1917, the Ybor City spot has had many lives as a silent movie theater, playhouse, and now a popular concert venue. The RITZ hosts all kinds of shows from popular bands like All Time Low, to 90’s-themed dance parties.
Take in a show at MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheatre.
This one’s for the folks who believe live music is best enjoyed outside. Catch major shows from artists like Blink 182, Lana Del Rey, and Noah Kahan at the laid-back venue — plus some incredible TBAY sunsets. The Florida State Fairgrounds-adjacent spot also boasts tons of dining and drinking options + lawn chair rentals.
The Sound, 255 Drew St., Clearwater
Capacity: 4,000
Clearwater’s brand-new waterfront venue boasts seating room for 4,000 music lovers with more room in the park’s greenspace. A snippet of this year’s inaugural acts include Gladys Knight, the Beach Boys, Chris Young, and the Steve Miller Band.

A craft brewery is opening in St. Pete’s Magnolia Heights neighborhood. Golden Isles Brewing Co. is the first of its kind in the area and will open its valves to the public sometime next month. Pinellas Park is serving up some good news for pickleballers. A huge indoor facility is on its way after getting support from the local council. The 41,000-sqft. center will be built at the Gateway Centre Business Park. (Tampa Bay Business Journal)
Civic
The City of Tampa is launching a Soulwalk Community Cookbook today + is calling for recipes from the public. The city launched the Tampa Soulwalk art and heritage trail earlier this year as a way of honoring and connecting Tampa’s Black communities. Keep an eye on their website for submission details.

It’s called the Cigar City for a reason. There’s a new exhibit in Ybor featuring 18 of the world’s oldest known cigars. The set is on display at J.C. Newman Cigar Co. after being recovered from a shipwreck off the South Carolina coast. The cigars were hand-rolled in Cuba back in 1857. (That’s So Tampa)
