Pack your bags, we’re headed to Toronto. TPA just announced new flights to Queen City via Porter Airlines. The nonstop flights will run daily + launch Wednesday, Nov. 1.

Tampa General Hospital’s Behavioral Health Hospital (1307 W. Kennedy Blvd., Tampa) is now under construction. The new 83,000-sqft facility will feature 96 to 120 inpatient beds. (Tampa Bay Business Journal)

Ready to sip on a nice craft beer or cocktail while trekking the Tampa Riverwalk? Spots like The Pearl Tampa, Pirate Water Taxi, and Ulele are selling special cups sanctioned for sip and strolls on the popular walkway. (That’s So Tampa)
Opening
Bring on the overstuffed sandwiches. Proper Meats is opening in the next few weeks in the old Freya’s Diner location on Central Avenue. The sandwich shop will serve dishes with chicken, duck, and gator meat, as well as burgers and meat alternatives. (St. Pete Rising)

Hillsborough County Fire Rescue is hosting its first-ever open houses at 45 fire stations this Sunday, Aug. 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to celebrate 50 years of service. Stop by to tour a station, check out the fire trucks, and meet your local fire rescue crew.
