Soon, you’ll be able to take a bougie staycation right in the heart of Hyde Park Village.
Palihouse Hyde Park Village, the posh area’s first hotel, promises “a 36-guest room hideaway cloaked in European-inspired style with a considerable dose of Palisociety’s signature irreverent design,” according to a release. The hotel will open later this fall at 1509 W. Swann Ave. — nestled in between shops Mizzen + Main and Social Status.
The boutique hotel is the brainchild of Avi Brosh’s Palisociety, and is in partnership with the Village’s owner, WS Development.
“Hyde Park is noted as the most revered destination neighborhood in Tampa and with Hyde Park Village’s innate charm and sense of style, we knew it was a natural fit for a Palihouse hotel,” said Avi Brosh, founder and CEO of Palisociety, in a release. “We particularly covet finding unexpected properties in communities where we can create a unique and creative new aesthetic and vision for the area that feels like a natural extension of its existing appeal.”
The guest rooms all feature fine linens and stocked kitchenettes.
The property will feature guest rooms complete with luxe details like Smeg mini fridges, Diptyque bath products, Bellino fine linens, Nespresso coffee machines, and bespoke library seating. Plus, the plans also include a vibey lobby lounge — with a café and bar serving all-day dining menu options, coffee, cocktails, and brews.
Palisociety hopes to create an environment “that honors Florida’s colorful and warm personality with a charming dose of European-influenced style and sensibility,” according to the release.

The bright burst of a freshly picked blueberry in your mouth, the excitement of seeing the first heirloom tomato of the season, a warm loaf of bread nestled into your tote bag... just thinking about our favorite local farmers market fills us with pride.
It’s time to turn that appreciation into a vote — so that the entire nation can know TBAY has the best farmers markets around.
The 2023 America’s Farmers Market Celebration (AFMC) is open to votes through Monday, Sept. 18 to find a “People’s Choice” farmers market as the top-endorsed market in the country. The prize? Up to $15,000 for the top five markets to spend on marketing, communication, and other needs.
The most popular market in each state also wins $100 — so get voting. Need a refresher on TBAY’'s finest? We’ve got a guide to local farmers markets.
I had a blast last week seeing one of my favorite artists — Jackson Browne — in concert at Ruth Eckerd Hall. Now, I’m inspired to add some more shows to my summer. We rounded up a few booked for this week, in case you’re similarly inspired.
