• Soon, South Tampa residents will be able to rent affordable units at Casa Bel-Mar apartments. The new South Manhattan Avenue complex will have 100 units for those who make between 30-80 percent of the area’s median income. (WUSF News)

• What’s happening with Booker Creek? St. Pete City Council members just gave the first approval for the city to vacate a 16-by-100-ft brick path by the creek. Green Bench Brewing is interested in turning the area into a beer garden. The decision heads to a public hearing on Thursday, June 15. (St. Pete Catalyst)

• This afternoon, the City of Tampa will crown the winner of Shine A Light Youth Art Contest — in which kids around the city created pieces that raise awareness of antisemitism.
