Experience
Devil’s Den Spring
This underground prehistoric spring attracts scuba divers and snorkelers from all over the United States. The sapphire blue, 72-degree waters are home to fossils from the Pleistocene Age. Pro tip: If you go during the winter, the cave emits a tantalizing, yet eerie fog.
Blue Grotto Dive Resort
Dive 20 ft down onto the open water training platforms and meet the Grotto’s favorite resident, Virgil the Turtle. And for the brave (and for the trained), the chamber stretches another 80 ft down. Fun fact: there’s technically no sunshine down that low.
Eat
The Ivy House
Enjoy homemade Southern comfort food. We recommend getting lost in a giant plate of BBQ shrimp and creamy grits.
Sad Donkey Coffee
After a long day of diving, wake yourself back up with some Sad Donkey Coffee. Try the chocolate frappuccino with a shot of espresso.
Stay
Cozy up next to the fireplace at this dark-themed campsite bungalow.

Armature Works’ Tonella’s Flower Truck breathed some life into me this past weekend. Its Neptune blue carnation collection made me so happy that I had to call my girlfriend over to check them out.
Tonella’s + Hyde House Heights = probably some pretty cheery future newsletters coming to your inbox.
