The City of Tampa is again encouraging residents to donate and re-purpose their spring cleaning finds now instead of tossing them out. Last year, Tampa’s McKay Bay Waste Facility received 300,000 fewer pounds of junk compared to the prior year after the “Spring Forward” announcement.

Welcome to the neighborhood.
The New Tampa Performing Arts Center (8550 Hunters Village Rd.) opens this Saturday, March 25 for its inaugural show — a 90-minute musical adventure performed by a 14-member cast + band, according to a release.
Hillsborough County paid $7.3 million to construct the 350-seat performance venue that includes an orchestra pit, stage, four studios, box office, catering kitchen, and more.
Tickets to the 7:30 p.m. show are almost gone (email or call 813-829-2760 for more info), but make sure to check the soon-to-come schedule for upcoming shows like “Beauty and the Beast,” “Grease,” and “Shrek the Musical.”
