Something new is emerging in downtown Tampa that will soon change the city’s skyline.

Construction has begun on Pendry Residences Tampa (100 Ashley Dr. S. Suite 100), a 38-story, five-star hotel and residential tower along the Downtown Riverwalk.

The building will include 207 modern-designed residences, 220 hotel rooms and suites, and several penthouse pads.

Have an appetite for luxe living? Residences start at $1,175,000. Each unit boasts expansive floor-to-ceiling windows and private terraces with Hillsborough River-facing views. Tenants will have access to a private lobby, rooftop pool, sundeck, private lounges, and wellness amenities.

This would be the first Pendry residence in the Sunshine State. The other three are in Natirar, NJ, Park City, Utah, and West Hollywood, CA.

This week construction crews began drilling tests to reinforce the building’s foundation. The process is expected to take a few weeks. The building is projected to open in 2025, according to WFLA.

Boulon Brasserie opens in Tampa, FL

Why drop a grand on a flight to Paris when you could have a grand old French themed time right on Water Street?

Last week we told you how you can now make reservations at Water Street Tampa’s long-awaited French bistro Boulon Brasserie (1001 Water St., Tampa).

Well, the restaurant’s doors officially open today.

Led by Executive Chef Habteab “Hab” Hamde, the kitchen flaunts a massive menu. Some notable options are the creamy French onion fondue, escargot, and a gently cured duck confit — which we had to Google. Turns out the dish is a cooked duck leg basted in its own fat + served on a savory crepe.

If that’s not your thing, Boulon offers many dessert options like crème brûlée, warm butter cake, profiteroles, and a chocolate dome — perfect for the gram and the belly.
