USF professor emerged after 100 days underwater

After 100 days of living underwater, Dr. Joseph Dituri, otherwise known as Dr. Deep Sea, finally emerged from his sub-aquatic habitat late last week.

The USF associate professor spent three months living more than 22 ft below the surface of the Emerald Lagoon in Key Largo. And while down there, he broke the Guinness World Record (previously 73 days) for the longest time living in an underwater fixed habitat
