Get ready for the Krewe of the Knights of Sant’ Yago Knight Parade

Floats, marching bands, and community groups galore take to Seventh Avenue for the celebration.

And the Tampa traditions continue. This Saturday, Feb 8, is The Krewe of the Knights of Sant’ Yago Knight Parade.

For those who haven’t been...yet: Every year, 100+ krewes and community groups sail down the brick street on floats decked out with lights. It’s a celebration of the neighborhood’s long Latin heritage and civic pride.

Need-to-know details

  • This year’s grand marshal is Steve Wilkos, host of “The Steve Wilkos Show.”
  • Start celebrating early at The Official Knight Parade Pre-Party 2025 on Friday, Feb. 7. Merrymakers will take over Carmine’s from 7 to 11 p.m.
  • The parade starts at about 7 p.m. and runs down Seventh Avenue.
  • Head to the historic district early to pick a good spot to grab beads.
  • Bleacher tickets are $30, and score you a better perch of the floats too.

Make a night of it

  • Opt out of driving and the traffic (if you can) and get around on the Tampa Streetcar for the night — it’s old school and free. If you have to take a car, the Centro Ybor Parking Garage is a good option, and $10 for the night.
  • Make that dinner resy now, instead of dealing with a long wait time day of. We recommend Barterhouse Ybor for their Ybor Pastelitos, grits and scallops, and “1940’s libations with a twist.”
  • Cap off the night with a scoop of King Cake or Tampa Banana at Chill Bros. Or, if you prefer a different kind of buzz, head to Hotel Haya’s Flor Fina for a cocktail and tunes from DJ Nilla Green.
