We’re going to take this weekend’s cooler weather as a sign to start celebrating winter now. Move over, Thanksgiving.

Here’s a slice of the holiday happenings this weekend in Tampa Bay.

Tonight, Nov. 22

A Holiday Celebration: Encore In Lights | 5-8 p.m. | Downtown Tampa | Free | Say hello to Mr. and Mrs. Claus, enjoy a balloon artist, tunes, and treats from food trucks. Plus, explore the cozy holiday market + watch the grand tree lighting.

Winter Village | 5-10 p.m. | Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park | Free | Hop aboard the Winter Village Express — a themed excursion through Tampa’s Downtown on the historic streetcar — and enjoy ice skating, treats, music, and all kinds of wintery magic.

Festival of Trees | 6 p.m. | The Long Center, Clearwater | Free | Get lost in a sea of beautifully decorated trees at this Tampa Bay tradition.

Saturday, Nov. 23

Tampa Bay Holiday Market 2024 | Saturday, Nov. 23-Sunday, Nov. 24 | 10 a.m.-5 p.m. | The Coliseum, St. Petersburg | Free entry | Shop for baked goods, chocolates, candles, jewelry, and other gifts at the historic Sunshine City venue — the first 250 people in get a holiday ornament.

Victorian Christmas Stroll | Saturday, Nov. 23-Tuesday, Dec. 31 | 10 a.m.-5 p.m. | Henry B. Plant Museum, Tampa | $12+ | Enter the iconic Tampa Bay museum for a look at Christmases past while holiday music floats through the air — plus, snack on cider and cookies on the veranda.

The Music of Vince Guaraldi: “A Charlie Brown Christmas” | 8 p.m. | Palladium Theater, St. Petersburg | $30+ | Experience the “Peanuts” magic in the flesh as the award-winning pianist and composer brings the beloved music of Vince Guaraldi to life.
