The bleachers goin’ up in Downtown St. Pete can only mean one thing...it’s Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg time.

This year’s high-octane race runs from Friday, March 3- Sunday, March 5 — with vehicles lapping Al Lang Stadium, The Dalí Museum, and other iconic waterfront spots in the 1.8-mile circuit.

Here’s a few deets to get prepped for this weekend’s festivities — HUGE IndyCar fan or not.

  • Grandstand seats are still available. But you can also set up camp in the Mahaffey Theater Courtyard, Pioneer Park, Horse Solider Bourbon Waterside Club, or Stella Artois Party Pit with general admission access. Check out the seating guide.
  • There’s a range of tickets to choose from. Reserved grandstand tickets start at $95 for one day, while general admission single-day tickets run from $25 to $60.

May we also suggest bringing an umbrella, hat, and deffo sunglasses.

  • Food and drink aren’t allowed inside the event. But there’s ample food trucks, drink stations, and goodies to try. We recommend a classic, massive lemonade.
  • Parking is available at the Tropicana Field lot for $15. Shuttles will run to and from the lot. Otherwise, parking Downtown will likely be difficult. Consider taking the SunRunner, St. Petersburg Downtown Looper, carpooling, or booking an Uber ride in advance.
  • Check out the map + make a plan to enjoy every ounce of the festival.
  • Want more Grand Prix action? Check out the flag raising with St. Pete Mayor Ken Welch, Party in the Park in North Straub Park, or lace up those tennies for the Wellcare Ambetter Health 5K on the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg Track.
  • Make some reservations for the weekend now. We recommend Cassis, Bella Brava, or City Editor Bailey’s fave, Doc Ford’s.
