Try out the Vinoy Spa + other TBAY offerings

We tried out one of the Vinoy spa’s new offerings and are sharing the deets on other must-try Tampa Bay spas.

The Vinoy Spa's relaxation area features three white lounge chairs with ottomans. Each is topped with a dark pillow and furry blanket.

Plop down in a cushy lounge and pull the furry blanket around you after your treatment at the Vinoy.

With both Mother’s and Father’s Day approaching, we’re sharing some local spa experiences you can gift that beloved parental figure in your life. Because silent-ish time alone is one of the best gifts.

City Editor Bailey here. I might not be (I’m definitely not) a real parent. But sometimes one does need to unwind from the grind of being a single dog mom to an escape artist/chocolate lab.

I left said chocolate lab, Sage, at home and headed to the Pink Lady to test out one of the Vinoy Resort & Golf Club Spa’s new offerings.

What’s on the lineup? Fittingly, the Vinoy is offering a Mother’s Day Serenity Escape spa package, plus a Summer Local Spa Package, Moonglow Facial, and Golden Age Facial. Sound good to you? Keep reading for a peek at the treatment...

Under the moon glow

The experience kicked off with a wait in the Restoration Hardware-esque lounge for my service. I tucked myself under the furry throw and resisted the urge to look at the tag.

I opted for the spa’s seasonal offering, a Moonglow Facial. The Vinoy says the 50-minute Crystal Charged Knesko Mask “boosts circulation, collagen, and elasticity, reducing fine lines and wrinkles.”

I loved the medley of scents of the Naturopathica products — especially the Manuka honey cleansing balm. I know it reset my skin from the St. Pete sweat, but it also felt like dipping my face in a honey jar. One of my reoccurring dreams.

Products in blue bottles sit atop a white sheet-fitted treatment bed, which is in front of a marble-topped cabinet setup.

I have pretty sensitive skin, but I only felt some light tingling from the pumpkin purifying enzyme peel. But my favorite part might have been dissociating during the facial massage with a carrot seed soothing facial oil, which also thoroughly depuffed my always sugar-inflamed skin.

The spa allows guests to use the sauna, Jacuzzi, and relaxation area until 9 p.m. So make sure to pack a swimsuit and a fresh change of clothes. I will be bringing my swimsuit for round two — after which they will have to forcibly remove me from the Jacuzzi.
