We’ve all heard of Tampa’s buzzy hub — Armature Works. The TECO Streetcar hangar turned food hall and event venue hosts a handful of must-do experiences for DIY lovers, artists, athletes, and social butterflies.

Here’s nine unique + new ones for you to try in the coming weeks:

Get hands-on

Work your creative muscle with one of the spot’s DIY classes.

  • Ring Workshop with SolMarVida | Thursday, April 13 from 6:30 p.m.-8 p.m.

Invite the group chat and create wire-wrapped gemstone rings. Tickets cost $60 per person and include 15 gemstones + wires to try out the craft at home.

  • Air Plants and Astrology Workshop | Tuesday, April 18

Build your own air plant terrariums while learning about your birth charts + the elemental associations of crystals and gemstones. Bring your birth date, time, and location to get a better reading. Tickets cost $70 per person and include a glass of wine.

Take it outside

Half the fun of Armature Works is the massive lawn space and the view of the Tampa skyline.

  • Paddle Invasion 2023 | Saturday, May 6 from 7 a.m.-1 p.m.

Paddleboard, surf ski, or canoe your way from Armature Works’ waterfront area down the Hillsborough River in a two or six-mile course. Tickets cost $50.

Shop till you drop

Indie Flea might be over for the season, but Armature Works is throwing some markets of its own:

  • Second Sunday Market + Art Walk | Every second Sunday of the month from 11 a.m.–3 p.m.

Shop handmade goods, jewelry, apothecary, candles, and more from local artisans, and enjoy live paintings from regional artists.

  • Heights Night Market | Every second Wednesday of the month from 5:30 p.m.-9:30 p.m.

Enjoy a market under the stars while browsing artists and makers while jamming out live music.

Drink + jam out

Looking for a night out? M. Bird, the bar space above Armature Works, has three new DJs every Thursday during the month of April. Book a table to avoid the big crowds.

  • KC Lights on April 13
  • Jmo Let Em Know on April 20
  • Le’Cam on April 27

Did we miss any? Let us know.
