The Straz Center for Performing Arts

“Some Like it Hot” | Tuesday, Dec. 10-Sunday, Dec. 15

“The Cher Show” | Tuesday, Jan. 14-Sunday, Jan. 19
I got you babe. Watch the theatrical retelling of Cher’s life. The show about the iconic musician is hitting 50+ US cities.

“Macbeth | Wednesday, Jan. 15–Feb. 9
Jobsite reimagines Shakespeare’s classic tragedy in the style of “Picto-futurism,” a genre which includes works like “Black Panther.”

“A Beautiful Noise” | Tuesday, Feb. 11-Sunday, Feb. 16
Speaking of iconic musicians, this musical centers around the life of Neil Diamond. Caroline will be present, and she will be sweet.

“MJ: The Musical” | Tuesday, Feb. 25-Sunday, March 2
Make that three in a row. This time, the award-winning show is about the King of Pop and his 1992 world tour. It’s going to be a thriller.

“The Great American Trailer Park Christmas Musical” | Friday, Dec. 13-Sunday, Dec. 22
Get ready to cackle at this comedic musical set in Armadillo Acres, North Florida’s most festive trailer park + home to folks like Scrooge, Betty, Lin, and Pickles.

“The People Downstairs” | Friday, Feb. 7-Sunday, Feb. 23
Watch what unfolds as a funeral home custodian tries to set up his daughter with an inept mortician in this sweet comedy.

“When the Righteous Triumph” | Thursday, Mar. 6-Sunday, Mar. 9
Locals must see this play about the sit-ins that led to the desegregation of Tampa lunch counters in 1960.

Mahaffey Theater

“Family Blessing” | Sunday, Dec. 15
This Artz 4 Life Academy production blends a young girl’s dreams with her grandma’s memories in a fabulous display of ballet, jazz, hip-hop, African, Mexican, and Brazilian dance.

“A Very Broadway Christmas” | Friday, Dec. 20
The cast takes on Christmas songs from Broadway and the radio sung alongside a live band.

“Ken Ludwig’s Moriarty: A New Sherlock Holmes Adventure” | Wednesday, Dec. 11–Sunday, Dec. 15
Everyone’s favorite detective hunts for the Bohemian king’s stolen letters in this show featuring five actors playing 40+ roles.

“Fruit Flies Like A Banana” | Saturday, Jan. 18-Sunday, Jan. 19
Now’s your chance to experience your first vaudeville-esque chamber show. Audience members get to choose the order of the show — from Chopin on hoverboards to Joplin on plastic boomwhacker tubes.

“Matt & Ben” | Thursday, Jan. 23-Sunday, Jan. 26
Before “The Office” and “The Mindy Project,” there was “Matt & Ben,” Mindy Kaling’s play delving into the bro-hood of one of Hollywood’s most famous friendships.

“Sondheim and Weidman’s Road Show” | Friday, Feb. 14–Sunday, March 16
Follow the Mizner Brothers on their search for the American Dream, from the Alaskan Gold Rush in the 1890s to the Florida real estate boom in the 1920s.
