Kick-art your weekend with the first-ever SoHo Artwalk on Saturday, Nov. 5.
It’s a one-day showcase blending a diverse group of over 40 local professional artists. The walk features live painters-at-work, caricature drawing, custom poetry by typewriters, roaming poets, a dance performance, t-shirt screenprinting, and more family-friendly art activities.
The walk starts at the north end of South Howard Avenue at Rose Bar Tampa (122 S. Howard Ave.) + continues along the mile-long stretch to Bella’s Italian Café (1413 S. Howard Ave.). The Artwalk begins at 12 p.m. and runs until 5 p.m.
All kinds of art will lace Tampa’s South Howard Avenue — from pop to contemporary, to surreal, oil, and many other genres. A mural entitled “Love Birds” will also be unveiled during the day at the Bern’s Steak House warehouse (1208 S. Howard Ave., Tampa).
The goal is to promote the Tampa Bay area’s rich + deeply artistic communities and residents.
