If you’re just starting your Dry January journey (a campaign that encourages individuals to live sober for one month), temporarily taking a break from booze, exploring a sober curious lifestyle, or worried about getting a late start on the challenge, you can still raise your glass to celebrate. Tampa Bay has plenty of zero-proof offerings, so you can keep up your social calendarwithout ordering soda and tea, again.
For Dry January and beyond, here are four booze-free options at local bars and kombucha breweries:
Bars + Restaurants
Willa’s | 7100 W. Fig St., Tampa
This neighborhood restaurant has four mock mainstays: The Phony Negroni, the Soft Sangria, Willa’s Tonic (which is always on tap), and a fresh ginger beer.
The Saint | 49 24th St. N., St. Petersburg Forgive me for I have sinned, Sister Mary Clarence. That’s what this speakeasy calls their muddled jalapeño, cucumber, lime juice, lemon juice, agave, and club soda drink.
Good Intentions | 1900 1st Ave. S., St. Petersburg
Take a sip of the “Frankie Goes to Dollywood” for a strawberry pineapple shrub experience, or drink the “Mind Reader” for more of a pineapple, orgeat, blue curaçao escapade.
Rooster and the Till | 6500 N. Florida Ave., Tampa
What’s a mocktail list without the holy grail, Hibiscus Agua Fresca? When RTT adds guava to the mix, it’s a fresca fiesta.
Drop the booze and pick up some booch. A simple Kombucha serving can contain about 0.5% alcohol due to the brewing process, but it’s technically considered non-alcoholic since that number is under 1.2%.
Beech Kombucha | 3100 Freemont Terrace S., St. Petersburg
This tasting room and garden offers a rotating menu of fizzy ferments containing whole fruit, roots, and seasonal flavors.
Flower Crown Kombucha |1607 N. Franklin St., Tampa
This super potent yet super light kombucha is brewed and bottled onsite.
Florida Heat: Wood Fire Ceramic Workshop | Tuesday, Jan. 10-Wednesday, Jan. 18 | 10 a.m.-8 p.m. | Morean Workshop Space, 2025 3rd Ave. S., St. Petersburg | $750 | The nation’s top wood fire artists lead participants in loading, firing, and unloading the anagama kiln.
Corsage (2022) | Tuesday, Jan. 10-Thursday, Jan. 12 | 7:30 p.m. | Tampa Theatre, 711 N. Franklin St., Tampa | $10-$12 | Austrian playwright Marie Kreutzer tells the story of a woman in rebellion.
Open Mic Night | Tuesday, Jan. 10 | 9 p.m. | Pegasus Night Club, 14811 N. Florida Ave., Tampa | What’s not to love about an open mic night with music, poetry, and comedy?
Thursday, Jan. 12
St. Pete Beach Drive Dine & Wine Tour | Thursday, Jan. 12 | 5:30-9 p.m. | Vinoy Hotel, 501 5th Ave. NE, St. Petersburg | $75 | Tour the Birchwood Inn, The Canopy, Bella Brava, and Fresco’s Waterfront Bistro for food and adult beverages.
Natural History Speaker Series | Thursday, Jan. 12 | 7-8 p.m. | Hammock Hall Banquet Room, 3010 31st St. S., St. Petersburg | Free | Discover humans’ complex relationship with mushrooms and fungi.
Friday, Jan. 13
Winter Jam 2023 | Friday, Jan. 13 | 4:30 p.m. | Amalie Arena, 401 Channelside Dr., Tampa | Free | Jam out with Anne Wilson, Andi Mineo, and We the Kingdom.

We’ll use these pickup lines for something fun soon — keep your (heart) eyes peeled. 😍
