Tues., Nov. 8 is the big day — aka Election Day — and we’ve done the Googling, so you don’t have to. To make this election as easy as possible, we’ve curated need-to-know information about how and where to vote, along with what we’re voting on — from the Dalí Referendum to Hillsborough County School Board. 👇
Are you registered?
First things first, make sure you’re eligible + registered to vote.
Find your polling location
Hillsborough and Pinellas polling places will be open on Tues., Nov. 8, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. If you’re unsure where to go, you can request voter information that provides your registration status + polling location (Hillsborough, Pinellas).
Early Voting
Early walk-in voting is available every day from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. through Nov. 6 at the following locations in Hillsborough and Pinellas Counties. You’ll be required to provide signature and photo identification, which can be in the form of your Florida driver’s license, US passport, student ID, or other forms of identification.
Voting absentee? Completed ballots must be returned to Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections Office by 7 p.m. on Tues., Nov. 8 or one of the valid locations throughout Pinellas to be counted.
What are we voting on?
There are 65 local candidates running in this election. If you didn’t know, Florida’s districts have been redrawn this year. To determine your district, check out these interactive maps + resources, then use your districts to identify your candidates.
You can also identify your voting district by checking your voter registration status or sample ballot. Find information on how congressional and state legislative district boundaries are established here.

WUSF’s All Night Jazz may have hit the hay, but there’s good news for fans of the program. Longtime host Bob Seymouris moving to WMNF to launch a new jazz radio show, “Jazz in the Night,” which will air at 9 p.m. on Monday nights. 🎷 (Tampa Bay Times)
Chad Mize’s Uptown galleryis closing after five years in the neighborhood. Check out the space’s last show, entitled “Friend,” featuring relationship-themed pieces from Nov. 4-20. The gallery’s last day is Dec. 23. (Tampa Bay Times)
