Weathering a storm can be unpredictable, which is why staying informed is a top priority during a hurricane and in the aftermath. So, we’ve compiled a list of resources to help you stay in the know.
🗺️ Storm tracking
Track the storm’s progress through the National Hurricane Center, which provides top news of the day, hurricane position updates, and satellite imagery.
The City of Tampa advises residents to call the citizens information line at 833-872-4636 to reportfallen trees, street flooding, storm debris, and water or wastewater emergency repairs. Pro tip: This line is open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. ☎️
Travel
Tampa International Airport plans to reopen today, Sept. 30, at 10 a.m. Be sure to check with your airline for flight updates and arrive two hours early for today’s flights. ✈️
Number
3,000. The number of crew members TECO has assembled to restore power to Tampa Bay. If you see a downed power line, report it to Tampa Electric at 877-588-1010.

Returning home after Hurricane Ian? The City of Tampa and Tampa Police Department have five traffic safety tips such as assume all downed power lines are live and treat all nonfunctional traffic lights as four way stops. 🚗
