The good news is Alaska Airlines just expanded its flight network out in California. The move allows Tampanians to fly nonstop to the Golden State, landing at the San Diego International Airport. Daily flights start Thurs., Oct. 5, according to the Tampa Bay Business Journal. Plus, roundtrip tickets are on sale right now.

Fun Fact: If you’re feeling tropical, you can hop on a connecting Alaskan Airlines flight from San Diego to any of the four major islands of Hawaii.

Speaking of tropical — if you’re looking to travel closer to the equator, Frontier Airlines is launching its first-ever nonstop flight from TPA to Aguadilla, Puerto Rico (BQN), in May.
