West Tampa’s new + improved Vila Brothers Park (700 N. Armenia Ave.), which honors seven brothers who served their country from WWII through Desert Storm, reopens today.

The massive, years-in-the-making renovation cost more than $1.7 million. Additions include large and small dog parks, a shade structure, picnic tables, an exercise trail with fitness equipment, pickleball courts, basketball court lighting, and more. You get the picture — it’s a whole new vibe.

Tampa leaders will host a reopening ceremony today at 10 a.m. Plus, there’s a community celebration with ‘family-friendly activities’ after the ribbon-cutting.
