Celebrate the Oasis reunion in Tampa Bay style

While the band’s comeback tour only has shows in the UK and Ireland, we wanted to bring the fun to TBAY.

How would the Gallagher brothers spend a week in Tampa Bay?

Half the world away, we just got news of Oasis’ reunion. The British rock band is returning to the stage next year after a 15-year hiatus, largely due to a longstanding feud between its two most recognizable members: Liam and Noel Gallagher. Brotherly love.

Whether you sported a Gallagher mop hairstyle in the 90s, or have only heard “Wonderwall” at karaoke, we’re here to help with Oasis-inspired suggestions for the Tampa Bay area.

“Wonderwall”

Wondrous walls line our area, many of which feature glorious murals. The song could also pay homage to Tampa Bay’s rapid development, with new walls appearing seemingly daily. We’ve got a new ballpark in the works, the next phase of Water Street Tampa on its way, Gasworx on the horizon, plus dozens more upcoming developments transforming our area.

“Don’t Look Back in Anger”

...but instead look back in awe at one of our area’s esteemed museums. The Tampa Bay History Center covers ~12,000 years of Floridian history, and just announced its upcoming exhibits for the next 18 months.

Or head to St. Pete where The Dalí Museum traces the life + work of one of the world’s most storied artists.

“Champagne Supernova”

Let the bubbly flow over brunch at one of 50+ local spots, or grab a drink at a discounted price during happy hour.

Our latest recommendation? Pluma Lounge — the new Juno & the Peacock-adjoining concept on St. Pete’s picture-perfect Beach Drive.

“She’s Electric”

Celebrate music with more music at a show by one of the female artists gracing the Amalie Arena stage later this year. We’re talking about Sabrina Carpenter, Cyndi Lauper, Ana Gabriel, and Kacey Musgraves.

Or grab the electric partner in your life + scoot them to a date night spot.
