City Editor Patrick here. I recently enjoyed an afternoon in the downtown neighborhood, attending a pilates class, soaking up a luxe pedicure, and savoring a leafy lunch in a few of the many hotspots Water Street Tampa has to offer. Keep reading to learn more about this dedicated self-care day:

What we tried:

Since my focus was health + wellness, it only made sense to combine a workout, lunch break, and salon visit into one perfect afternoon – starting with a sweat at BODYROK.

Ready, set, sweat at BODYROK.

BODYROK is an innovative pilates studio where you’ll never do the same workout twice. Don’t be intimidated; it’s suitable for all fitness levels, and the staff could not be more wonderful + welcoming.

I followed my pilates session with a healthy bite + drink at Crisp and Green, featuring a whole range of healthy produce. Pro tip: You can customize any of the menu items by adding + removing to your heart’s desire.

What we’re still talking about:

Next, a tranquil nail session at MiniLuxe, which offered a lasting sense of calm + relaxation. The spot is super clean, and doesn’t have that typical nail salon smell. Instead, it gives spa-like relaxing vibes.

The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, and I left feeling properly pampered after enjoying a deluxe pedicure.
